Filha do Mestre Percussionista Famoudou Konatê (www.famoudoukonate.com), aprendeu sua arte desde a infância na própria família e posteriormente em 4 balés de Conakry.
A Família de Fanta Konatê vem da Aldeia “SANGBARALA” na região da Alta Guiné, também conhecida como HAMANÁ e ela está nos Companheiros das Américas desde 2010.
Fanta gravou músicas nos discos de seu pai e ensinou danças para alunos do mundo inteiro que foram para a Guiné nos anos 80 e 90. Trabalhou como facilitadora de Biomúsica com Refugiados de Guerra da Serra Leoa e Adolescentes de Rua em Conakry, nas Ongs Crianças Refugiadas do Mundo e Médicos Sem Fronteiras.
Fanta excursiona pelo Brasil, Japão e Europa, realizando shows e oficinas, desde 2003 e lançou seu próprio CD “Djubafedeá” em 2007.
Juntamente com Luis Kinugawa e o Instituto África Viva, converte todos seus trabalhos na construção do Centro de Desenvolvimento Humano e Cultura Mandén na Guiné, para atender a 500 jovens na área da sustentabilidade, saúde e educação.

Fanta recorded songs on her father´s labels and taught dance to students around the world who went to Guinea in the 80´s and 90´s. She worked as Biomusic facilitator with War Refugees from Sierra Leone with the Non Profit Organizations Children Refugee of the World and homeless teens in Conakry with Doctors Without Borders.
